24. Cyrelian– I am: Hjaalmarch 8

This is the last Cyrelian installment for awhile. I’m not sure  how I feel about it, he’s been my companion for a long time and I’ll miss his voice, I think.

The next part of the story’s going to be an interlude featuring Erdi, who will be responding to an old acquaintance’s invitation… to tea. At the Blue Palace.

And so the thread that is Cyr’s story rests and a new thread will be taken up.

Very interesting story! I hope that Ahtar makes good on his promise to stay with Cyr in Winterhold, and I hope Cyr doesn’t keep beating himself up about the events that had unfolded. We cannot see into the future and know that this or that step will bring ruination to others, and certainly such things were not his intent.

I thoroughly enjoyed this chapter and look forward to the next. But I too will miss Cyr’s voice.

    1. Yes, Ahtar is absolutely true to his word when he gives it. There may be some bumps in this road, but it is definitely a road that they are on together.

    2. Probably not so much. I don’t think we’re seeing Cyrelian at his best at present. It’s been kind of a rough few months.

I will miss him too. I am trying to get Erdi fixed in my mind. I am doing the next chapters differently– all of the pictures are already taken and I’ve sorted them out in a rough timeline. Previously I would take a bunch of pictures; pick one and write something, and repeat.

We’ll see if this keeps things more organized.

oo, lovely wrap-up to this section, especially the reflection at the end re: cascading events, and the “I am alive because this one is dead.”

oops, forgot to put in my info into the comment so it probably got quarantined, but the summary was: excellent wrap up to this section

I’m glad you think so! It was kind of tough bringing in some of the details of what had happened, since they were part of a chapter I’d long since killed. And yes, that’s kind of a defining moment and it’ll lead to what happens later in Eastmarch.
